Shannon Sullivan is a Feldenkrais practitioner, performer and poet. She is based in Berlin, Germany.
Shannon completed her four-year training in the Feldenkrais Method in 2012. As an internationally recognized Feldenkrais practitioner, she’s entitled to teach both Awareness Through Movement and Functional Intergration.
In addition, she was selected to accompany the professional Feldenkrais training program in Berlin as an experienced practitioner, under the educational direction of Jeremy Krauss and the organizational direction of Patrick Gruner.
Shannon is also a graduate of the prestigious “Swedish Institute for Massage and Allied Health Sciences” where she received extensive training in a wide variety of massage techniques as well as Anatomy, Physiology, Neurology, and Five Element Shiatsu. She has received awards from Massage Magazine, the “Swedish Institute for Massage and Allied Health Sciences” and the American Massage Therapy Association. Her essays on massage and the Mind/ Body connection have been published in “SInews”, “In Touch”, and the “Journal of the American Massage Therapy Association” – New Jersey Chapter.
In 2005 she moved to Berlin and founded a successful private practice: Studio SHA. A particular focus of her practice is her work with dancers and musicians. She developed the series “Anatomy in Movement” and has been teaching it to dancers, pilates and yoga teachers ever since. She’s also the director of the professional massage training program at Spirit Yoga & Spa, a program for which she wrote the curriculum.
